Sad news again! Jennifer Young passed away in Tampa, Florida, after loosing her battle with cancer.

We have lost another classmate, Jaime Heredia. We mourn the loss, but find some consolation in having seen him at our 50-year reunion.

With heavy hearts we report another loss … Michael Tewes passed away this morning.

[SJC] 10 October, 2021: José Perera
Our hearts are heavy with the news that we lost another classmate, José Perera. His widow, Eloisa, said that they had been in Benque for the weekend, spending quality time with family, sharing jokes and a little dancing. José suffered a heart attack and was rushed to the hospital, where he died.
[SJC] 13 January, 2021: Emilio Awe
Yet another sad announcement…Emilio Awe died recently in Belize after being in and out of the hospital with heart and kidney problems.

[PHS] 21 December, 2020: Shirley Card, née Waller
With a heavy heart, Judith shared the sad news that Shirley Card, née Waller, passed away after suffering a massive stroke on 7 December, 2020.
Nena responded quickly with the following loving tribute.
Shirley
Four long years in the same class room
4 long years of influences both good and bad
The thought was there, were we friends?
Was the will ever there to carry this through?
Perhaps a weak ‘hello’ or maybe ‘none at all’
But the smile on your face, it was always there
For you Shirley, had enough to share……
When our class lives became more demanding….
I knew our friendship perhaps wasn’t shown
But you simply knew life was hard for us all
You knew that as class buddies we stand together
You knew, you knew……. we were not alone
We parted ways that long ago day
But found each other 25 years later
That youthful friendship we once had
Now fundamental and to all you gave……
Our lives intertwined by past reunions
The joys and laughter once regained
Your smile, your quietness, that genuine laugh
Now taken from us this Christmas time
Your time was your life, greatest gift of all
Words alone can be worthless…..
But this gift you gave to your class buddies
It tested every aspect of our friendliness
We’ll pray for your family
You knew you had two
One with the same last name
The other your class buddies who loved you
So many things have happened, so many things shared….
Your memory is a keepsake forever will be treasured
But what is lovely never dies, for your passing as a star
With your wings and heading high

More sad news…Patty Reid Coburn lost her battle with lung cancer last night, 9th October, 2020.

- From Joyce Perdomo, née Gough: Yvonne Meighan passed away in October or 2019. Yvonne started SCA with us in first form, but did not graduate in 1969.
- From Joy Tatum-Haylock: Marjorie Ramnarace, née Smith, passed away on June 10th, 2020 in Belmopan from a massive heart attack.

Judith sadly reports the passing of our classmate, Lydia Piaz. She was laid to rest on January 2, 2020 in Los Angeles.
