After our reunion Mass, the alumni of the three high schools held individual gatherings where they could get together, renew acquaintances, and catch up with old friends.

Dinner at Birds Isle
-
It was great to see our classmates. On the whole, though, the evening was a frustrating disappointment. Although we had reservations for dinner at 7:30, we had to wait about 2 hours to be served! Tempers were running high with this unexpected treatment.

Pot-luck dinner at the beach area of Old Belize
-
We had a good turnout and a wonderful selection of food and drink—chicken fingers, tamales, meat pie, salad, brownies, cookies, coconut tarts, and milk cake, ice water, grapefruit juice, watermelon iced tea, and wine. Tables were set up under a large roof where we could sit, chat, eat, and drink.
Some of the SJC guys decided to join us (or perhaps to crash our party). Most of our tables were full, so they were relegated to picnic tables that had been pushed to one side to make room for the tables. We waited until all the SCA “girls” had served themselves before inviting the guys to share our dinner. In the mean time, most of the guys wandered into the bar area of Old Belize for drinks and dinner, with a few returning now and then to visit with us.

Happy Hour at the Biltmore
-
We had a roving get together starting, as planned, at the Biltmore. The group wasn’t very lively, so we headed to Old Belize to join the SCA group. Our welcome was on the cool site, so most of us moved to the bar, occasionally returning to the beach area to chat or get a bite to eat.
