In 1994, the Class of ’69 from PHS, SCA, and SJC each held its own 25-year reunion in Belize City. When classmates from the difference schools shared stories of their respective reunions, several suggested having a joint reunion the next time. What a great idea!

In 1999, the Class of ’69 from the three high schools came together for a joint 30-year reunion. It was such a success that we’ve had joint reunions every 5 years since then. And although we describe the reunions as for “the Class of ’69,” we include all former classmates—whether the graduated with us in 1969 or not.

Note: The three school are listed alphabetically…Please don’t try to find any other significance to their order!

• Today we lost a driving force behind our reunions. From the beginning, Derick Gongora was an enthusiastic and active participant in planning the reunions, even when he wasn’t well enough to attend them himself.

  Alas, we have reached the age where most of our news reports the loss of more of our classmates. (15 July, 2026)
